Goldrich will be UNH's starting QB
University of New Hampshire coach Sean McDonnell said that redshirt freshman Sean Goldrich will be the team's starting quarterback for the season opener at Holy Cross on Aug. 30.
Goldrich, who was competing with Bedford's Andy Vailas for the starting job, compiled a 25-4 record as starting quarterback at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Conn. He guided Notre Dame to the Class LL state championship in his junior year.
Goldrich passed for 1,800 yards and 21 touchdowns, and ran for eight TDs during senior season.
