Proctor hands New Hampton first loss

NEW HAMPTON -- Proctor Academy running back Jamie Ewing scored on a 9-yard run with 27 seconds to play to give Proctor Academy a 19-13 victory over New Hampton on Saturday.
It was New Hampton's first loss of the season, and its first home loss since 2009. The Huskies (6-1) entered the game as the only unbeaten team in the Evergreen League.
Proctor built a 13-0 first-half lead, before New Hampton's Javar Coleman scored on two TD runs. He made it a 13-6 game with a 16-yard TD run in the second quarter, and added a 23-yard TD run in the third. It was a 13-13 game after Jake Kiley added the PAT.
Proctor's other TDs came on a Ryan Peel 45-yard run, and a 13-yard run by Ryan Powers.
The victory raised Proctor's record to 5-2.
