- Team records: Timberlane is 5-5 overall, 4-4 in Division II. Bishop Guertin is 7-3 overall, 7-1 in Division II.
- Regular-season result: BG won 27-6 in Nashua.
- Noteworthy: BG is seeking its fourth consecutive Division II championship, and its seventh in the last eight years. ... Some say the Cardinals took a step back toward the rest of the Division II pack this season. If so, it was a small step, because BG still earned the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. ... A strong second half carried BG to its 21-point victory over Timberlane during the regular season. The Cardinals led 13-6 at halftime, but held the Owls to 31 yards of offense and three first downs in the final two quarters. BG received second-half touchdown runs from Zach Mailloux (22 yards) and James Carver (23 yards). ... Timberlane quarterback Evan Bidgood completed 9 of 26 passes for 108 yards in the earlier loss to BG. Timberlane running back Evan David did not play in that game because of a sprained ankle. ... BG ended the regular season with a 17-6 loss to Keene. ... Timberlane hasn't played in a championship game since 2001, when it beat BG 26-20 for the Division II title.

Noteworthy: Spaulding has been the feel-good story in Division II this season. After struggling for years, the Red Raiders overcame an 0-4 start to qualify for postseason play. ... Dover is seeking its first appearance in a championship game since 2002, when it dropped a 24-21 decision to Exeter in the Division II championship game. Dover's last state championship came in 1996 (Division II). ... Dover quarterback Tyler Zabkar completed15 of 18 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns during the regular-season victory over Spaulding. Joe McKee ran for two touchdowns, and Kyle Seawards caught six passes for 71 yards. Spaulding trailed 6-0 after three quarters and was held to 8 yards of offense in the first half of that loss. ....Spaulding had won five games in a row until it fell to Concord, 22-9, in a non-league game last weekend. ... Dover has scored 110 points in its last two games, victories over West (54-17) and Timberlane (56-21). ... Spaulding's last victory against Dover came in 2006. That was also the year the Red Raiders made their last playoff appearance.
