NHFR logo.jpgThe top candidates for this year's Mr. Football Award:

JERICKSON FEDRICK (SR., RB) SALEM: Put up good numbers (256 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 19 carries) in a 49-20 loss to Nashua South, but may be hurt by the fact that Salem hasn't been competitive with any of the Division I playoff teams: Pinkerton, Exeter and South.

EMMITT SMITH (SR., RB) PINKERTON: Had his toughest offensive day of the season in Saturday's 25-7 victory over Concord. Smith was held to 39 yards on 11 carries and caught one pass for 14 yards.

KEVIN DAVIES (SR., RB/LB): Rushed for 84 yards on 16 carries against Concord and scored on runs of 4 and 5 yards. May be the best player on the state's best team.

ARMOND McCRAE (SR., SB/DB) NASHUA SOUTH: Has made a strong case for himself during South's six-game winning streak. Rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, and also scored on a 7-yard reception in the victory over Salem. Will be facing a tough defense Friday night, when South plays Exeter.

STEVEN DWIGHT (SR., RB/LB) MANCHESTER MEMORIAL: Turned in another strong performance Friday night, when he rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-13 triumph over Nashua North.

Watch List: Colin Pellerin (Hollis-Brookline), Josh Hughes (Trinity), Billy Lane (Portsmouth), Jared Chandler (Manchester Central), Jake Pleadwell (Exeter), James Caparell (Bedford), Tyler Zabkar (Dover), Aaron Martin (Manchester West), Ryan Monette (St. Thomas), Cody Dalton (Memorial), Tyler Grant (Exeter), Connor Benjamin (Goffstown), Nick Reisert (Plymouth) and David Mahoney (Laconia).
