The top candidates for this year's Mr. Football Award:
JERICKSON FEDRICK (SR., RB) SALEM: Had is lowest offensive output of the season last Friday, when he rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in a 49-14 loss to Pinkerton. Did not play in the second half.
JOSH HUGHES (SR. RB/LB) TRINITY: Held to 8 yards rushing on eight carries, but caught an 80-yard touchdown pass in a 12-7 victory over Plymouth -- a loss that ended Plymouth's 40-game home winning streak..
EMMITT SMITH (SR., RB) PINKERTON: Rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries in the first half of Pinkerton's victory over Salem. Did not play in the third or fourth quarters.
KEVIN DAVIES (SR., RB/LB): Making a case as the best two-way player in the state. Rushed for a game-high 144 yards on 11 carries in the first half of Pinkerton's victory over Salem.
ARMOND McCRAE (SR., SB/DB) NASHUA SOUTH: Held to 18 yards rushing in the first half of South's 31-6 triumph over Manchester Memorial, but had a huge second half and finished the game with 201 yards on 19 carries.
