Kackert claims CFL award

Former University of New Hampshire running back Chad Kackert has been named the CFL's Offensive Player of the Week.

Kackert, a rookie with the Toronto Argonauts, had his strongest game of the season Friday night against the Edmonton Eskimos. Kackert carried the ball 20 times for 139 yards and two touchdowns in Toronto's 26-25 loss.

Kackert is seventh among UNH players in career rushing yards (2,587 yards) and ninth in career rushing attempts (462).
