DURHAM. - The University of New Hampshire released the football program's 2011 schedule on Tuesday. The Wildcats will open the season with a contest against the University of Toledo, a Football Bowl Subdivision school, on Sept. 1.
  
"The 2011 schedule again will be a very challenging one for our program, starting at FBS Toledo and including three FCS playoff teams from this past season," UNH coach Sean McDonnell said. "It makes for an exciting opportunity to continue to compete on the national level and take on our traditional regional rivals as well."
  
New Hampshire plays its home opener against Central State University from Wilberforce, Ohio, on Sept. 17 at Cowell Stadium. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.
