Two Souhegan High School football players -- linebacker Colin Ginnard and receiver/defensive back Chris Almeida -- have committed to play college football next season. Ginnard will play for Assumption, and Almeida will suit up for Bates.

Ginnard (No. 44, pictured above) and Almeida (right) helped Souhegan win the Division III state championship last fall. Souhegan has beaten Portsmouth in each of the last three Division III state championship games. 

Souhegan coach Mike Beliveau said at least three more Souhegan players -- and as many as five -- will  play in college, and will be announcing their college choice soon.

In addition, Keene High School's Taylor Russell will play at Stonehill, and Darrin Willingham of The Tilton School will play for Merrimack College.
