Sanbornton resident John Preston received All-New England honors and All-Colonial League honors following his senior season at Tabor Academy.

Preston, a 5-foot-11, 228-pound fullback/linebacker, led the team in tackles and was Tabor's No. 2 rusher last season. Tabor finished its season with a 6-2 record and had the top defense in the NEPSAC (Class B) last season. 

Preston played at Bishop Brady for three seasons before he transferred to Tabor. He was a Division V First Team All-State selection in 2007 and 2008.

"He has yet to make his final college choice, but he has a number of universities waiting to hear," Tabor coach Bill Hrasky said.

Preston was also one of four Tabor players who received the Coach's Trophy for resiliance and exemplary effort.
