Cronan headed to prep school

  Winnacunnet logo.pngWinnacunnet High School quarterback Steve Cronan said he will play prep school football next season before he makes a college decision.

Cronan is considering Phillips Andover in Andover, Mass., the Salisbury School in Salisbury, Conn.; and Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton, Maine.

"Academically, it's probably the best thing for me," Cronan said. "I was looking at some Patriot League schools, but my grades are are not at the point where I can get into those schools."

Cronan, who led Winnacunnet to the Division II championship game in each of the last two seasons, said Holy Cross and Lehigh were among the schools that showed the most interest in him."

Nashua South quarterback Keith Farkas said he has not made his college decision. Sacred Heart, Assumption, Wagner, Endicott and Salve Regina are among the schools he's considering.
