Jared Orazio, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound lineman from Con-Val Regional High School, will sign a National Letter of Intent to play football at New Haven University on Wednesday.
New Haven is a Division II program that competes in the Northeast-10.
Orazio was a starter on the Con-Val offensive line for the last two seasons. He was also a starting defensive tackle last season, when he recorded 25 tackles. Orazio was an all-state offensive tackle last season, and was an honorable mention selection on the offensive line in 2009.
Orazio also handled the punting and place-kicking duties for the Cougars. He averaged just over 37 yards per punt last season and 15 of his kickoffs were touchbacks.
Orazio is the starting center on the Con-Val varsity basketball team and is averaging 12 rebounds per game this season. Last weekend he placed fourth in the shot put at the NHIAA indoor track championship.
