Dover logo.jpgDOVER -- It was tough to pick the quarter during which Dover High School played its best football Sunday night -- because they were all equally good.

Dover (4-3 overall, 4-2 in Division II) extended its winning streak to four games by pounding previously unbeaten Keene, 52-7, at Dunaway Field.

The Green Wave scored 12 points in the first quarter, 14 in the second, 13 in the third and 13 in the fourth.

"We're playing well as a team right now," Dover coach Ken Osbon said. "We just keep working."

Kenaan Al-Darraji and Joe McKee each scored two touchdowns for the Green Wave, which played without starting quarterback Tyler Zabkar (concussion).

Dover running back Corey MacKoul scored on a 82-yard run in the first quarter to make it 12-0. The Green Wave also received a 2-yard TD run from sophomore quarterback Mike Leblanc, a 5-yard run from Taylor Curry and a 36-yard run by William Slayton.

"I thought Mike (Leblanc) did a great job," Osbon said. "I wasn't really concerned about it. Mike's not that far off of Tyler. To me, it's more we have to establish the running game and we had that that tonight. When he had to throw he stepped up and made some great plays."

Keene, which navigated the soft portion of its schedule with a 6-0 record, dropped to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in Division II. The Blackbirds will complete their regular-season schedule with games against Timberlane, Winnacunnet and Bishop Guertin and will likely have to win at least one of those games (probably two) to qualify for the playoffs.

"There's wasn't one good thing about tonight," Keene coach John Luopa said. "Not one.

"Dover could be 7-0 real easily. Very easily. They're a very good football team, and I'm pretty sure that win just got them in the playoffs. I don't know if there's a tougher team that Dover, but I guess if we're gonna see one it'll be in the next three weeks."

Keene's only TD on Sunday came on a 7-yard pass from quarterback Lucas Luopa to Ben Galanes. That TD plus Joshua Brown's point-after kick made it a 19-7 game with 5:41 remaining in the first half.

Al-Darraji answered that TD by scoring on a 14-yard run on the ensuing possession, and added a 1-yard TD run with 5:57 left in the third.
