Plymouth's streak ends at 57

Kennett logo.pngKennett High School scored 20 unanswered points to hand Plymouth Regional a 20-9 setback Friday night.

The loss ended Plymouth's 57-game winning streak, which was the longest active winning streak in the country. Plymouth started its winning streak after it lost to Souhegan in the 2004 Division III semifinals (28-10).

Concord (Calif.) De LaSalle holds the record for longest winning streak by a high school football team. De LaSalle won 151 games in a row before it lost to Bellevue (Wash.) in 1994.
