Shrine logo.jpgThe New Hampshire Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl team completed its final full-contact practice without any significant injures Thursday.

"We're healthy," New Hampshire coach Ken Sciacca said. "Every kid is going to play and that's a good thing."

Sciacca said the team will have two light workouts Friday that will each last about an hour. The players from both New Hampshire and Vermont will attend a banquet at Kimball Union Academy on Friday night.

This year's game will be played Saturday (2:30 p.m.) at Windsor (Vt.) High School. New Hampshire will be trying to extend a nine-game winning streak.

Sciacca said the outcome will likely be determined by how well New Hampshire defends Vermont's no-huddle, spread offense.

"They throw deep a lot," Sciacca said. "They throw a lot of crossing routes and a lot of quick screens. We have some explosive kids, but they do too. In a shootout they have an edge.

"If we can get a pass rush I feel pretty good about it. If we don't we could be in trouble."

Sciaaca said Max Brennick (Kennett), Brian Bozek (Laconia) and Kyle McAuliffe (Plymouth) will be New Hampshire's starting linebackers. Brennick played for Sciacca at Kennett High School.

"He transfered in from New Hampton and he started there as a freshman," Sciacca said. "He's tough. Max would have started for me at any school I've ever coached."

General admission tickets for the game are on sale at more than 80 outlets throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. General admission tickets are $8 if purchased in advance or $10 on game day.

Reserved seats are $20 and can be purchased by contacting the Shrine Football Office: (603) 448-1042.
