NH fans can view football from a national perspective

The high school football season in New Hampshire will kick off Sept. 3, but those who follow high school football on the national level may not want to stray far from the television next weekend.

ESPN will televise eight games that involve some of the top teams in the country. Here's the schedule:

FRIDAY (AUG. 27)

Plant (Fla.) vs. Manatee (Fla) at Manatee High School (ESPN, 7 p.m.)
Grant (Calif.) vs. Folsom (Calif.) at Folsom High School (ESPN2, 10 p.m.)

SATURDAY (AUG. 28)

Hoover (Ala.) vs. Byrnes (S.C.) at Rock Hill District 3 Stadium (ESPN, noon)
South Pointe (S.C.) vs. Northwestern (S.C.) at Rock Hill District 3 Stadium (ESPNU, 4 p.m.)
Steele (Texas) vs. Madison (Texas) at Heroes Stadium (ESPN, 7 p.m)
Euless Trinity (Texas) vs. Tyler Lee (Texas) at Trinity Rose Stadium (ESPNU, 10 p.m.)

SUNDAY (AUG. 29)

Good Counsel (Md.) vs. St. Xavier (Ohio) at St. Xavier High School (ESPN, 3 p.m.)
Moeller (Ohio) vs. Huber Heights Wayne (Ohio) at St. Xavier High School (ESPNU, 7 p.m.)
