Souhegan wins Maine event
Souhegan High School captured first place at the Bates College Pine Tree Shootout 7-on-7 tournament last weekend.
Souehgan, which has won the last two Division III championships, beat Windham (Maine) in the championship round. Windham won last year's Class A state championship. Souhegan beat Bonnie Eagle, one of Maine's strongest Class A programs in the last decade, in the semifinals.
The tournament featured 14 teams.
