Nashua's Reyes named UConn captain

Reyes.jpgDefensive lineman Kenall Reyes, who played high school football at Nashua North, will be one of four captains for the University of Connecticut this season.

Offensive lineman Zach Hurd, linebacker Scott Lutrus and fullback Anthony Sherman will be the other captain. Reyes, a junior, is the only non-senior in the group.

Reyes started 16 games in his first two years with the team, including 12 in 2009. He finished 2009 with 37 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks. Six of his 37 tackles came in a win against Syracuse.

Reyes and his UConn teammates will begine the 2020 season Sept. 4, when they play at Michigan.
