Wayne Hills coach Chris Olsen confirmed Quinn's interest in UNH in an email sent to New Hampshire Football Report on Tuesday.

"Mike is visiting UNH this weekend," Olsen wrote. "I know he is looking forward to the visit."

Quinn (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) was a two-year starter for Wayne Hills, which finished 10-2 following a 16-8 loss to Ramapo in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section I, Group 3 championship game last season. Quinn was limited to five completions in 24 attempts for 14 yards in that game, which was played in windy and snowy conditions at Giants Stadium.

Wayne Hills had won 17 consecutive postseason games before the loss to Ramapo.

Quinn set a school record by throwing for 1,919 yards as a junior. He completed 69 percent of his passes that season, when he finished with 18 TD passes and four interceptions.

Quinn threw for 1,712 yards and 24 touchdowns last season.

Rhode Island, Villanova, Richmond and Massachusetts are among the other schools that have reportedly shown an interest in Quinn.

Earlier this week UNH picked up a verbal committment from Alex Park, a quarterback from Upper St. Clair High School in Pennsylvania.

Quarterbacks Matt Welch and Josh Vick both decided to leave UNH following the 2009 season. Both were redshirt freshmen last fall.
