Reed leaves St. Anselm for Castleton State

Former Souhegan High School quarterback Matt Reed has transferred from St. Anselm College to Castleton State College in Castleton, Vt.
Castleton State is a Division III school that competes in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference. Castleton State finished with a 3-6 record last season, which was its first season of competition.
Reed passed for more than 1,000 yards twice during his high school career. He threw for 1,051 yards in 2007, and passed for 1,225 yards in 2008.
Castleton, which will begin spring practice April 5, will open its 2010 schedule with a home game against Plymouth State College.
