New Jersey running back commits to UNH

Jimmy Owens, a 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back from West Deptford (N.J.) High School, made a verbal committment to the University of New Hampshire on Wednesday, according to NJ.com.
Owens made an official visit to UNH last weekend.
"I was hoping a I-A school would come in, but a I-AA school with a great program came in and I took it," Owens told NJ.com. "I visited last weekend, and I had a great time up there. It was the best fit."
Owens, who rushed for 1,437 yards and 27 touchdowns last season, reportedly had offers from Monmouth, Stony Brook, Maine, Rhode Island and Albany.
