New Hampshire residents excel at Tabor

i-logo.gifStrafford resident Cody Martin, a 6-foot-1, 308-pound offensive lineman who played for Tabor Academy in Marion, Mass., has official visits scheduled for Bentley and Stonehill. Bentley and Stonehill are both Division II programs that compete in the Northeast-10.

Following the 2009 season Martin was selected to the All-Colonial League Team (NEPSAC Class B) and the All-New England Team. Martin, who served as a team captain last season, was also a finalists for the Class B Lineman of the year.

Martin is also considering Franklin and Marshall, Union and Hobart.

John Preston, a 5-foot-11, 231-pound fullback/linebacker who also played for Tabor last season, has been named a captain for the 2010 season. Preston is a Sanbornton resident.

Preston was selected to the All-Colonial League Team after he rushed for 607 yards -- he averaged 6.1 yards per carry -- last season. He also led the team in tackles, tackles for loss and forced fumbles.

Preston will be the starting catcher for the Tabor Academy baseball team this spring.
