Bozek has St. Anselm on his radar
Laconia High School running back/linebacker Brian Bozek has scheduled a visit to St. Anselm College on Jan. 28. He will also visit Merrimack College on Feb. 5-6.St. Anselm and Merrimack are both Division II schools that compete in the Northeast-10.
Bozek rushed for 1,301 yards and 19 touchdowns on 181 attempts last season. Defensively, he made 119 tackles, one sack and intercepted three passes. He set a school record for tackles in his career (357).
Bozek, who is 5-foot-10 and weighs 197 pounds, has been timed in 4.57 for the 40-yard dash.
Marist, Norwich, Hobart, Wagner, Maine and Assumption are among the other schools that have shown interest in Bozek, a three-time All-State selection at linebacker.
Laconia won the Division IV championship when Bozek was a sophomore, but lost to Plymouth in each of the last two Division IV championship games.
