Proctor's Bucci collects MVP award
Proctor Academy running back Beau Bucci was named the Evergreen League's North MVP and was one of three Proctor players selected to the All-New England Team.
Offensive lineman/defensive end Patrick Donnelly and center Mike Hemingway were also named to the All-New England Team. Hemingway is a Newport resident.
In addition, tackle/linebacker Will Sullivan, running back/wide receiver Peter Fessenden and offensive guard/defensive tackle Martin Aquilar were Honorable Mention selections.
Offensive lineman Harris Williams, who has committed to Boston College, missed last season because of a broken ankle.
The following former Proctor players are now playing in college:
- Stephen Alli redshirted his freshman seasonat the University of Florida.
- Spencer Wood appeared in six games for the University of Maine.
- Isiah Moore, a redshirt sophomore wide receiver at the University of Connecticut, had 22 catches for 261 yards and one touchdown and will be playing in the Papa Johns Bowl against South Carolina.
- Josh Harris, a freshman running back at Framingham State, had 33 carries for 207 yards
and one touchdown. - Taylor Beasley was a redshirt freshman quarterback for Southern Illinois
University.
