No. 1 Plymouth vs. No. 4 Kennett
- When and where: Saturday (2 p.m.) at Plymouth Regional High School.
- Team records: Plymouth is 9-0 overall and 8-0 in Division IV. Kennett is 6-3 overall and 5-3 in Division IV.
- Regular-season result: Plymouth won 21-14 in Plymouth.
- Noteworthy: Plymouth enters this contest with a 53-game winning streak, which is the second longest in the country among high school teams that play 11-man football. ... Plymouth, which beat Laconia in last year's Division IV championship game, has won 10 titles in the last 12 years. All but one of those titles came in Division III. ...Kennett won its last championship in 1988, when it beat Plymouth 12-10. The program's last appearance in a championship game came in 2001, when it lost to Plymouth 29-8. ... The Eagles have won four of their last five games. Their other losses came against Hanover (14-13) and Laconia (42-22). ... Kennett has scored at least 32 points in all of its victories. ... Plymouth rushed for 380 yards in its regular-season victory over Kennett. Kyle McAuliffe led the way by running for 260 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries.
No. 2 Laconia vs. No. 3 Hanover

- Team records: Laconia is 6-3 overall and 6-2 in Division IV. Hanover is 6-3 overall and 5-3 in Division IV.
- Regular-season result: Laconia won 48-26 in Hanover.
- Noteworthy: This contest will feature two of the top players in Division IV. Laconia running back/linebacker Brian Bozek rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns when Laconia opened the season with a victory over Hanover. He also had nine tackles and one sack in that victory. Hanover quarterback Sam Carney has completed 64 of 134 passes for 999 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. He's also run for 410 yards on 75 carries. ... Dan Gorman is Hanover's leading receiver. He's made 23 catches for 346 yards and six touchdowns. ... Laconia's last state championship came in 2007, when it beat Hanover 35-14 to win the Division IV title. ... Hanover won its last championship in 2005, when it beat Stevens 15-13. ... Laconia outscored Hanover 21-0 in the third quarter of the regular-season meeting between these teams. That stretched Laconia's lead to 41-19 entering the fourth. The Sachems rushed for 463 yards on 42 carries in that victory.
