St. Anselm linebacker Ethan Sylvain (pictured) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week for his play in his team's 17-13 loss to Kutztown in Saturday's season opener for each team.

Sylvain, one of 10 freshman starters for the Hawks, tied for the team lead with 11 tackles. Five of those were solo stops. In addition, Sylvain forced forced a fumble that led to a St. Anselm touchdown.

The Hawks (0-1) return to action on Saturday, when they will play in-state rival Plymouth State University at Grappone Stadium in Manchester. That game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
