Nick Schmalhofer, a 6-foot-4, 235-pound defensive end from Lancaster (Pa.) Catholic High School, has given a verbal commitment to the University of New Hampshire, according to caainsider.com
Schmalhofer (pictured) could play either offensive line or defensive line for the Wildcats. He made 72 tackles -- inlcuding 21 tackles for a loss -- during his senior season.
Schmalhofer reportedly received scholarship offers from seven schools. Appalachian State was among the schools he visited.
