St. Anselm's Marc Wilson, a freshman quarterback, has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player and Freshman of the Week for his performance in the team's 48-42 road win over Merrimack on Friday night.

Wilson, the second-leading rusher in the Northeast-10 at 112.8 yards per game, ran for a career-high 181 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Wilson also passed for two touchdowns to cap off the highest-scoring game in St. Anselm history.

St. Anselm will play at Southern Connecticut on Saturday. The opening kickoff at Jess Dow Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.
