Gilford's Dean will transfer
Running back Eric Dean, who helped the Gilford High School football team reach last year's Division V championship game, will transfer to the New Hampton School, according to a story in Wednesday's Laconia Citizen.
Dean, who also plays basketball, became the first Gilford player to rush for more than 1, 000 yards in a season when he gained 1,213 yards last year. Gilford knocked off Bishop Brady in the Division V semifinals before losing to Pelham in the title game. It was Gilford's first playoff appearance in the program's history.
