Santos may stick
Former University of New Hampshire quarterback Ricky Santos (pictured) completed 14 of his 16 pass attempts for 120 yards in his professional debut, a 34-34 tie between the Montreal Alouettes and the Toronto Argonauts on Thursday night in a Canadian Football League exhibition game.
Montreal trailed 34-24 after three quarters, but Santos led the Alouettes to two fourth-quarter scoring drives. He threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Larry Taylor, and then put Montreal in position to tie the game when Damon Duval made a 40-yard field goal with 56 seconds to play.
Santos' performance is one reason Alouette fans may be feeling good about their team's quarterback position.
